Jenny resurrected this old aluminum flour cannister to serve as the "canvas" for her painting of an old grinding mill. You can see the waterwheel on the far side of the building. Mills like this one are where wheat and other grains once were ground into flour. We don't know whose kitchen this old cannister once graced, but it isn't fit for flour anymore. Its main function now is to just sit there and look beautiful. And we think it does a pretty good job of it.

Remember the holiday turkey or the Sunday chicken or roast? It was slowly cooked in the granite-ware pot with the "well" in the bottom to catch the flavorful juices for making gravy. But time passes, family members grow older, the kids move away. Eventually the old pot is left useless and abandoned. Perhaps it was left in the barn of an old farmhouse like the one shown in Jenny's painting. When Jenny found it, it was dented and beginning to rust. She resurrected the old pan, turning it into the beautiful creation you see here.

Jenny resurrected this old blowtorch and "reconditioned" it for a new life as an eye-catching decoration. (We harbor some doubts that the original owner would approve.) The painting is a scene with an old country garage in the distance and some pretty red wildflowers in the foreground. Perhaps this old torch plied its trade in such a place. Jenny painted this little watering can with a scene of a lighthouse and seashore. We're ready to pack up and go.

Jenny painted this scene on an old steam iron. Maybe this log cabin is where the previous owner labored away. Or maybe this is where she wanted to be, instead of working at her ironing board. Someplace without electricity.
